Blackberry Jam
' Blackberry Jam ' was released on
May 21, 2012. With accoustically inspired tracks, this blues album includes
'Throw In A Goat' inspired by my early flatting days in
Napier and is an honest interpretation of that period in my
life. Also included is the title track Blackberry Jam, which was
written and recorded one night as a jam with members of my band
'Nothing To Lose'. A few studio instruments were dubbed in the
following day along with a few small tweaks but it still retains
its live feel from the recording session.
This album was concieved and
written in a highly productive two month period in conjunction
with the album Will you bring me roses. As I completed tracks
they were assigned to the most appropriate album and I feel that
this has given me two highly consistent albums targeted better
to specific genres. An approach I will most likely to continue
to adopt.
